For dinner we offer a simple, daily changing menu with a choice of two or three starters and two or three main courses.
All the emphasis is on home cooking and local produce.
Most of our meat comes from Dartmoor farms, and we only use local butchers for our sausages and bacon. Chicken is free range, (of course!) and the fish is delivered fresh from Brixham.

A typical menu might look something like this....

Homemade Watercress and Potato soup
Chicken Livers wrapped in dry cured bacon & served on a bed of mixed leaves
Dartmouth Oak Smoked Salmon served with a honey & mustard dressing

Dartmoor Beef braised in Jail Ale (Brewed in Princetown!)
Free range Belly of Pork served with mustard mash & apple &cider sauce
Fresh plaice fillets coated with a herb and lemon crust
All served with seasonal vegetables

Homemade Blackberry & Apple crumble, served with clotted cream – What else!!
Selection of local cheeses ( & the occasional Cornish Blue)
A choice of Ice creams and sorbets made on a Dartmoor Farm

 

For breakfast you will find a wide selection of cereals, including a locally made wheat free granola, fresh & dried fruits, yogurt, juices and your choice of cooked breakfast from Free range boiled eggs & soldiers, to a full English.
Followed by toast, with a good selection of jams, preserves and local honey.
Smoked haddock and kippers etc. available to order.

A three course dinner is served every evening except Sunday and Monday, when our kitchen is closed.
