Tucked into the fringes of the Dartmoor landscape, Stone Lane Gardens is a true hidden gem. This enchanting 5 acre woodland and water garden is renowned for its National Collections of Birch and Alder trees, and offers a serene, restorative experience in every season.
The garden’s gentle pathways guide you through a living gallery of natural beauty, where dappled light dances on water, rare trees whisper in the breeze. Time your visit with the annual Garden Sculpture Exhibition, and you’ll discover imaginative works of art placed throughout the garden.
After your stroll, enjoy a light lunch or cream tea in the seasonal tea room, open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from April through Autumn.
Don’t Miss:
• The seasonal sculpture trail (May to October)
• Exploring the nursery’s collection of heritage trees
Top Tip: Visit midweek for a truly peaceful experience and don’t forget your camera. The garden’s shifting light and sculptural tree forms are a photographer’s dream.
