Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market
13 November – 13 December 2026
One of Devon's most popular Christmas markets returns to the beautiful Cathedral Green. With more than 100 festive chalets, discover handmade gifts, artisan decorations, local produce and delicious seasonal treats.
Enjoy a warming mulled wine beneath the illuminated cathedral and soak up the wonderful festive atmosphere.

RHS Glow at Rosemoor Gardens
Selected dates, 27 November – 30 December 2026
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of RHS Glow at Rosemoor, with a brand-new illuminated trail and eight new light installations.
Wander through beautifully lit gardens, discover glowing flowers, spectacular trees and interactive displays, and enjoy a magical evening surrounded by light and colour.

Plymouth Christmas Market
26 November – 20 December 2026
Plymouth's city centre will be filled with festive cheer as its Christmas Market returns with up to 50 traditional wooden chalets.
Browse handcrafted gifts, jewellery and decorations while enjoying delicious street food, sweet treats and festive drinks.
A lovely opportunity to combine Christmas shopping with a day exploring Plymouth.

Dartmouth Steam Railway – Train of Lights
Selected dates, 27 November – 30 December 2026
One of Devon's most spectacular Christmas experiences is returning for 2026!
Step aboard a beautifully illuminated vintage steam train at Paignton and journey towards Kingswear, passing through magical displays and thousands of sparkling lights.
With new surprises promised for this year, it's a truly memorable way to experience the festive season.
Booking in advance is essential.

Tavistock Dickensian Evening
Friday 4 December 2026, 5:30pm – 9pm
One of our favourite local Christmas traditions, Tavistock's Dickensian Evening is a wonderful celebration of everything festive.
The historic town comes alive with Victorian costumes, choirs, brass bands, street performers and beautifully decorated shops.
The evening begins with a lantern parade at 5:30pm, followed by the Christmas lights switch-on at 5:45pm.
With independent shops staying open late and plenty of festive stalls to explore, it's a lovely evening out and well worth a visit during your stay.

Totnes Christmas Markets & Late-Night Shopping
Tuesdays 8, 15 & 22 December 2026, 3pm – 9pm
The charming town of Totnes will once again host its much-loved Christmas Markets and late-night shopping evenings.
Discover independent shops, local makers, handmade gifts and delicious street food, all accompanied by live music and festive entertainment.
The first market on 8 December will also feature the Totnes Carnival Lantern Parade, adding an extra touch of Christmas magic.
