Set within a charming cobbled courtyard in the market town of Okehampton, the Museum is a treasure trove of stories, artefacts, and hands on displays that bring the region’s rich and rugged history to life.  Spread across 3 accessible floors, the museum spans 5,000 years of Dartmoor life. 

Highlights include a reconstructed Bronze Age roundhouse, a faithfully recreated Victorian kitchen, and fascinating displays on Dartmoor’s traditional industries, such as blacksmithing, wheelwrighting, and moorland farming.
