Arrival on Christmas Eve
Upon arrival, not only will you be greeted with a warm welcome,  you'll also be greeted with a warming and aromatic mulled wine, complemented by freshly made mince pie

Take a moment to unwind and embrace the tranquility and exceptional service at Lydgate House Hotel.
 
Meet in the residents' lounge from 6:30 pm for pre-dinner drinks, followed by a delightful dinner served from 7:00 pm. Indulge in a sumptuous 3-course meal selected from our delicious festive menu, then retire to the lounge for a nightcap, savouring the enchanting ambiance and the anticipation of Christmas Day.

Christmas Day
Awake to a beautifully festive Devonshire Breakfast, accompanied by a glass of Champagne, and savour your favourite breakfast delicacies. Take your time and relish in a leisurely morning meal, whilst you plan your day ahead.
 
Enjoy the tranquility of the season with a Christmas Day walk on Dartmoor, basking in the peace and quiet.
 
Return to Lydgate House Hotel to indulge in a celebratory pre-dinner drink of your choice from 2pm, accompanied with canapés. Then, prepare to feast on a lavish 3-course Christmas dinner with all the traditional trimmings. Enjoy being looked after and all your needs tended to.
 
Afterwards, unwind in the lounge, where you can immerse yourself in a captivating book, engage in a friendly game of cards, or simply "Pause a while" and enjoy cherished moments with your loved ones.
 
If you find yourself feeling peckish in the early evening, there will be selection of cold meats, cheese, and chutneys available to satisfy your cravings.
 
Conclude the evening with a delectable slice of Christmas cake and maybe a nightcap to round off a relaxing and memorable Christmas Day.

Awaken refreshed and relish a hearty Devonshire breakfast in our charming Garden Room, setting the stage for planning your day's adventures.
 
A two course dinner will be served from 7:00 pm, allowing you to indulge in another exceptional culinary experience.
